There is plenty to see and experience for children at Möhkö Ironworks! Its buildings and park are exciting and interesting places for adventures and expeditions. The demonstrative scale models at exhibitions tell about the history of Möhkö.

In the nursery of olden times at Pytinki, the children may play to their hearts’ content.  Despite being in the museum, one is allowed to touch the objects!

In summer, there are plenty of programmes suited for children. In June, Summer Day at Möhkö Ironworks takes place and it is especially directed to families. Children can fish with a rod, play in the nursery, listen to the fairy tales, watch children’s theatre, get to know domestic animals, look for stamps to Möhkö-passport and take part in other fun activities.

Summer Day at Möhkö Ironworks –book takes children to the landscapes of Möhkö as they were hundred years ago. The book tells a story about Anni and Antti, who spent a summery day at Möhkö Ironworks. The children of today can wander in the same places as Anni and Antti used to. The book is sold by museum shop Ruukinpuoti.
