MÖHKÖ IRONWORKS AREA

The area of Möhkö Ironworks is approximately 10 hectares wide. There are buildings, industrial remnants, memories of war history, interesting plants and beautiful nature in the area. 

The department of construction history of National Board of Antiquities has recently restored the ironworks area. National Board of Antiquities has restored the channel system, performed industrial historical excavations and protected the remnants of blast furnaces. Read more.
